Must I have an employment contract for hourly employees?

Video Transcription:

No, employers are not required to have employment contracts for hourly employees in the state of Florida. Florida is an at will employment state, which essentially means that an employer can terminate an employee for any reason so long as it’s not based on a protected characteristic. However, if you’re an employer and you want to have an employment contract, I highly recommend contacting an attorney to assist you with drafting it, because the language used can be very important to determine the rights of both the employees and the employers.
